Data Engineer 

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking a data engineer who enjoys working with large datasets. We are excited about candidates who are creative, meticulous, and looking to learn broadly in an early-stage startup.

 

You would be expected to:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using emerging technologies and tools

  • Implement data and compute solutions in cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS

  • Engineer data storage solutions for large and complex genomics datasets

  • Work with the team to find optimal, scalable solutions for the business 

  • Collaborate efficiently with other data engineers, scientists, and technicians

As an experienced candidate, you would have:

  • a degree in computer science or related technical field

  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role

  • proficiency in relevant languages and tech (Python, Linux, Docker etc)

  • good working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS based cloud architecture

  • familiarity with storage design and best practices

  • familiarity with standard security protocols and practices

As a fresh graduate, you would have:

  • a degree in computer science or related technical field

  • proficiency in Python and Linux

  • familiarity with cloud computing

  • willingness to take on new challenges

​

Location: Eastern Time Zone

Duration: Full-time

Compensation: Salary and equity negotiable based on experience
